Thirty-seven artists displays 38 (24 inch by 24 inch) paintings as the Casa Real Gallery officially launches, with a Christmas Show.

All participating artists are members of Iloilo Visual Artists Collective (IVAC), the governing body of Visayas Visual Artists Exhibitions and Convention (ViVa ExCon) 2016, which will benefit from the donations from the exhibitions that will be held in the gallery.

Casa Real Gallery has hosted three exhibitions since it’s opening in October, and is scheduled to host solo exhibitions until November 2016.

The gallery’s backroom which is managed by IVAC and ViVa ExCon Organization has become home of almost a hundred paintings from IVAC members who consigned as gallery artists.

ViVa ExCon 2016 will be on 17-20 November 2016. Hundreds of guest artists, not just from Visayas but from all over the world are expected to gather in Iloilo City to create network of artists, share ideas and work towards the development of art, and culture as a whole.

“Casa Real Gallery is the perfect home for IVAC. It is where the old and the new meet, the building being one of the remnants of the past, and our organization being a relatively young organization founded by contemporary artists. We are also excited about hosting ViVa ExCon because we know that this event will create huge impact to the Ilonggo artists.” Kristoffer Brasileño, president of IVAC explains.

The Christmas Show will run from 21 December 2015 – 13 January 2016. Casa Real Gallery is open from Tuesday- Saturday, 10 AM- 6 PM.
